| Well, It Was Nice Knowing You |
It is with great embarrassment that I must issue my hasty withdrawal from all leisurely activities including my virtual existence here. I don't know when I may make it back. But, here is the skinny.
In every bet, there is a winner and a loser. Unfortunately, I picked a loser. Again. I don't think I've picked a winner in any Super Bowl to date. I seem to always root for the underdog and hate to see the glorified "rich" team win. I noticed this year that even places as far out as Australia were giving this year's game attention. So, I thought I'd come out of my betting retirement. Unfortunately, I made a big mistake...HUGE. I wagered a large sum. Silly me. And, as Mr Holmes tipped his toes in the end zone after making the Cardinals' defence look stupid, I saw my savings plummet like Enron stock.
But, it didn't stop there.
No, I also was foolish enough to buy into Comcast. Yea. If only I would have listened to Hugh_Pizmehoff. No, I went against the grain and lost out big time. But, now it is too late to see the error of my ways. Another kick to the pocketbook.
Hold up your pants, and spit out your gum. Because, wait, there's more.
I also thought I was on a roll with the local lottery after winning 10 bucks the last two times I bought cards. So, I took a chance and bought about 30 scratch off cards. Not as big a deal as the bet I made on the game...but a sizeable waste of time and money nonetheless.
So, I have--in such a short time--exhausted my resources on the game of life...a game of chance. And, I lost big. If only I had avoided that viscious circle the TV advertises about hourly. You know the one, fellow night TV junkies. The "dead end job cuz I have no skills cuz I didn't go to school..." one?:P Yea.
Well, suffice to say, I am at wits end and must abandon ship til I recover....somehow. So, until the day I get life back in order, I must bid you all adieu.

In case you could not tell that was so out of character:P, I am in no way in such bad shape. I am just unhappy at the loss of the Cardinals in the Super Bowl. And, I do know a number of people who bet on the game--and for the Steelers. Had this been a real Brainstormer emergency, you might have heard me kicking and screaming half way around the world. Again, this was only a test.:P Also, I notice almost as many posts by Hugh_Pizmehoff for anti-comcast and site ad messages as I do the ads we all abhor:P This is more like a message to all the big time betters and gamblers out there to mind their pocket books this year. Say no to gambling and betting pools:P
