Operation: Brainstormer--Pick-A-Path Story 1
Your mission,
should you choose to accept it,
is to help write a complex story in which the plot
can go in many directions.

It's quite similar to Pick-A-Path books of the 1980s.

I, brainstormer, will write a passage.
At the end of this passage,
a list of paths will be presented
from which readers will make a choice.
Based on votes received,
I will write the next passage
along the lines of the chosen path.

In essence,
we,
readers and writer,
 write the story together.

Since the possibilities are seemingly endless in my mind,
I am offering you a chance to offer or pick a type
for me to begin.

Here are a few examples[Note: These could also be told from a female perspective if so desired.  In which case, imagine the lead is a woman.]:

1)The adventures of a wandering hero not unlike Link in the Legend of Zelda games.  He will travel far and wide across various lands and encounter an arrray of creatures and characters.  Perhaps he will find love or at least romance.  But, at least, he will have a few adventures.

1B)A tale of the Orient...a ninja's adventures in his quest for justice which begins mid-stream in his work as a man for hire...while completing a mission, he is shaken by something he sees and decides to act on his heart...from that day forward, the two jobs are worked almost simultaneously(similarly, see the detective story)...this may not be historically accurate but will be rich in oriental elements with some degree of authenticity...ninja skills and weapons...samurai and geisha of all kinds...myths, dragons and ghosts...magical surprises that defy logic/common knowledge...

2)A detective story.  The typical sly gumshoe with a trenchcoat and stylish hat not unlike Dick Tracy who is bound to run into his share of femme fatales and psycho thugs on the gritty streets of the city.  He follows his own rules and thus often clashes with the cops.  He is a freelance detective on his own mission of justice...lashing out against organizations and individuals "bigger" than himself...ie. an entertainment millionaire who is always on TV influencing others with power and money has a dark secret, and this detective is going to expose it if it means bringing the place down...a toymaker's product not only is waste of materials but also has a darkness to its promotion/distribution which this detective will uncover and shut production down...

3)A romance/erotica story.  Our "hero" is on a quest to find love...or maybe just "satisfaction".  Frustrated with his lot in life, he wanders about seeking encounters that may bring him closer to his dreams...

3A)takes place in a sci-fi, alien environment...lizard-men, tentacle creatures, floating brains in hover pods, spaceship scenes, various planets, asteroids, etc.

3B)domestic/modern city life...down to earth...something you might see in a Fox or CW-ish TV series.

3C)fantasy world...similar to option 1, but more adult...unusal pairings with strange creatures...were-creatures, hybrids, mutants, mythical creatures, monster plants, etc.

4)The story of an afflicted person...
either a were' or other form of shapeshifter who has been bitten/scratched/infected/cursed...
how they survive in the modern world...
the chance of meeting others like him...
possibly searching for a cure or purpose...
putting his situation to the best use possible...
exploring aspects of life he may never have considered before
(potentially adult).

5)A locale story...a particular place where unusual things happen...

5A)A restaurant/cafe with colorful cooks/waitresses/customers...pest and utility problems...etc.

5B)A classroom with a mixed bunch of students and one unusual teacher who seems to have a secret identity/nightlife.

5C)A hotel with strange events happenning in various rooms...
unusual bellhops/desk clerks/maids/etc....
mishaps/mysteries unfolding with guests and regular occupants.

Just what comes to mind right now...perhaps I will think of/recall more later.

Open to suggestions.

Hope to get this going soon enough.

I know I should suggest something mild, but I want to know what other people find erotic... I'd vote for 3... plus I like love <3

Yay! A vote!:P It's about time someone said SOMETHING here. I guess no one really cares about creative writing unless it is served to them without question. It's like the casual/sloppy family dinner. Don't ask questions. Don't do anything except cook it and set it out in doggy dishes for everyone to come eat. I feel for mothers sometimes:P

As for you, miss sushi. I take it you are approximately 18. I can SEE your fixation on anything heart symbol/shaped:P Love is not to be confuse with erotica. Erotica is more typically lust based and/or involves some form of physical/sexual intimacy/contact.

I must be showing my age, cuz I am concerned about writing erotica for YOUR age:P heh. If I was to read such materials at that age, I would have been an even bigger hormonal mess:P I'm going to sound like a parent making sure you are of ethical and sound mind to read such material without sexual influence. Maybe I need to see a permission slip:P I could go on:D But, thanks for the vote. You have been counted;)

Anyone else? Anyone besides smileforthecamera:P Speak up now.
