Braatz family connection US and Brazil

In the year 1869 two brothers left Pomerania, one to Brazil and the other to the US. Two different decisions that shaped the destiny of their successors. Which branch faired best? What would you be doing if our ancestor would have gone together with his brother either way, to the US or Brazil? How difficult was the life of each branch in the first years of emigration? Which family has more members (the Brazilian or the Northamerican)?
Bellow you can see the successors to the Brazilian branch. Johann August's brother went to the US. I do not know his name. Gustav August Friedrich's, the son of Johann August, my ancestor, was 15 years old as he arrived in Brazil in 1869.
Please, Braatz families in the US: Whose branch entered the US in the period of 1868-1970? Where did they come from in Pomerania? Someone from Ruetzenhagen or Wopersnow? The Brazilian branch had the DNA tested. Would some US family members do it also to identify his southern hemisphere cousins?
Visit our family sites www.family.braatz.com and www.braatz.de for more information.
One family tree branch (mine) is as follows: Rudi Braatz (* 1942), Fridoldo (1917-1968), Ernesto (1895-1972), Guilherme Augusto Frederico (* 1877), Gustav August Friedrich (* 1854 in Wopersnow, Pomerania), Johann August (* 1835 in Leckow, Ruetzenhagen), Johann Braatz (* 1812). A brother from Johann August (1835), son of Johann Braatz went to the USA, but I do not know his name.

I am part of a US branch of the Braatz/Bratz family that arrived in the US (New York) on July 6, 1869. They left Hamburg on May 14, 1969 on the sailing/clipper ship the Lord Brougham. There were two Braatz families on that ship. Mine was from MarienFliess (near Stettian) Prussia (now Germany). The other family was also from Prussia, but I am having trouble dechiphering the name of town.
My family - Michael Braatz, wife and 5 sons.
Other family - Carl, wife and 1 daughter.
All were headed for Wisconsin.

Hope this helps

Two comments: One about the Ship Lord Brougham passanters. From Ned Braatz I got the list with only one Braatz family in that ship: Michael (45), Sophie (40), Wilhelm (15), Friedrich (10), Carl (12) and Franz (5), ages at day of arrival July, 6, 1869. They are probably not my relatives, because they came from another location in Prussia as mine.

I narrowed down the probable brother to my ancestor who came to Brazil to two entries in the list I got from Ned: Wilhelm Braatz (30), married to Louise (29), who arrived in the ship Hammonia in May, 19, 1869 (no children) and
August Braatz (23)who arrived alone in the ship Capella in Feb. 9, 1869.
If somebody has one of these ancestors, please contact me and let us compare our DNA.

In the previous entry, where you see %, understand " (the minutes in geographic coordinates).
