 Bad Day
My lease is up on my Villa at the end of the month so we have decided to move a little nearer the school.

We have found a lovely villa that suits our needs as is within the companies budget so I have signed the papers and told my current landlord we are off.

Thinking I'd get ahead of the admin - I went to the Telecom company (Etisalat) today to do some simple things like move my account.  Nothing is simple here in the middle east.  Armed with my new address, I arranged to change the TV account......no problem there, but then I went to change the internet account.

To do this you have to go to the land registry first to ID your property.  Now even though I know the address (street number - villa number - district) they can't locate it.  You have to show them on a map - and since I didn't have a map handy (and nor has the land registry guy???) they told me to come back tommorow (and insharla) it won't be a problem - funny how the TV guy can do it but a few desks down they can't.

This happens all the time here  and its so annoying.  Tommorow I will go in and someone who can be bothered will say that he doesn't need me to show him on a map.

Still apart from that - the sun is still shining so I can't complain.
