Beth's Post

okay... I know this is not about our idea but wanted input from you guys...
I have been trying to figure out how to do these ladder groups in my classroom... I have come up with breaking class into 3 27 minute sessions
here is how it works

Group A (this is my middle group)
1st 27 minutes
-Complete Bellringer and/or anchor activity
-Some serve as Experts with Group B
2nd 27 minutes
Review homework assignment due with help of experts from Group C
3rd 27 minutes
Teacher Time-Lesson, new concept, etc

Group B (lower group)
1st 27
-Begin Bellringer-Homework Review with expert from Group A
2nd 27 minutes
-Teacher Time, lesson, new concept, etc
3rd 27 minutes
-Homework work time with expert(s) from Group C to support- also finish bellringers if needed and/or anchor activities

Group C (Highest Group)
1st 27 minutes
-Teacher Time-reveiw homework questions, and new concepts, lesson etc.

2nd 27 minutes
-Homework work time
-Some experts to help group A

3rd 27 minutes
-Extension/Enrichment
-Some experts to help Group B

Am I on the right track... my concern is how to make it happen, how to get the students into the flow the precedures... what do you think???
