 My comfort is with God

today is a sad day but on a happy note. I've enjoyed having my two younger kids with me this week, but they went to thier Moms. I guess that I'm still having to get used to not having them around day in and day out, 24, 7. I have found out one thing though, I'm spending my time by myself in a more creative manor than I have at any point in my life to date. I will sit for hours and sketch, or grab a book and read it from cover to cover. I've always had a passion for reading, its the picking up of a pencil, and drawing (and erasing, lol), putting it to paper and with alot of work, make it look somewhat like the model. Somewhat, lol! Finding time to enjoy the litttle things, that I think alot of us out there have lost, like drawing. We're too busy in our daily lives to be able to take that hour, and it's sad, it really is. If there is any positive from living with this disease, it's being able to explore new and foriegn sensations. When's the last time that you've experienced your hand cramping up from holding a pencil for too long?? With the exception of students or say, draftsmen maybe, I can't see there being very many. lol!!  It may sound wierd, putting it like this, but I 've and am getting a chance to experience these little things, before the ALS takes my hands from me. So, I do pray that someone heeds these words and takes time to enjoy the life that we are truly blessed with, enjoy spending time with YOU!
Off to something else. One of my passions in life has been coaching kids hockey, usually one of my boys teams.  I've been doing it now for 12 years now, but had to take the last one and a half years off due to not being in the right frame of mind emotionally. I had my own issues to address, before I felt right to go back to it. So now, instead of taking on the full responsbility of the Head Coach position, I'm going to assist, which is perfect. I just want to enjoy being on skates again, even if its only for standing on, and the interaction with the players. I thank God that He's given me the time and strength to be able to coach again, Wow! maybe to Dylans' chagrin though, lol! Nah! He's actually asking for advice again, thats a big change this year! For those that know, teenagers have thier own way of thinking throughout those years, and then for them to do a 180, hmm, but I'll take it! ha, ha, ha! So, yeah! I'm excited about it, lol, feel like I'm going to try outs, ha ha!
On, another note, I was at the local mall and there was a travel fair on, perfect. One of the booths had to deal with S.C.U.B.A lessons. I started to ply the poor lady with all kinds of questions about people in my condition being able to do this course, and lo and behold I can!! So not this weekend on Sunday but the next, this should be a very interesting time to say this least. Ever since going to Jamaica in 2002, I've been fascinated with the other part of our world, it's Oceans. The best way to discribe it is that you are in the biggest aquarium you can imagine! Things just appear out of the hue, exposing new and wonderful sites and experiences. I've only had just a glimmer of what is there, and because of the internet, I can now experience it through others trips. Downloaded to places such as youtube,  you can have an understanding of what and where you are headed, by viewing videos of other travellers. Thats why I want to go to a place known in Engish as 'Turte Island' in Thailand. Its an island south off the mainland that has a population of Green Sea Turtles, and beautiful vistas both on land and in the sea! Oh, I can't wait, and with Gods' good graces I shall be able to go, now to find someone who would like to share these times with me. I do believe that there is still my soulmate out there, and that we will meet somewhere in my journeys, maybe close to home, maybe not. Oh, and before I go, thank you so much to those who have left comments on my blog, they are not ignored, but taken into my heart. God Bless You All!!
