 the saga continues
Yesterday was truly a Monday.  Lack of sleep didn't help the day any.  The morning started out the usual way, get up before I got enough sleep, get children ready, fed, lunches pack and off to school.  My morning filled in quickly, starting with realizing the dinner I planned on fixing needed to be fixed in the morning so it could be "refigerated for at least 6 hours".  So I prepared that (which was nice to have out of the way).  Next I decided to start washing sheets which was long overdue (washing ten sets of sheets and mattress covers can be quite daunting).  I figured the best way to do that was two beds at a time and by the end of the week I should be done.  While those were washing I fixed after school snacks and dessert.  By the time the baking was done, so were the sheets.  I remade the beds then fixed lunch for the girls that were home.  I put all three down for naps and forced myself to take a walk before the tempratures plummetted.  When I got back I ate lunch and thought (foolishly) that I would have enough time to take a nap.  What was I thinking ?!   Of course the girls only took an hour and 15 minute nap!!!!  ARG!  That didn't help my mood any but what can ya' do?  So I dealt with them until it was time to pick the children up from school.  I brought them home and then returned an hour later for basketball practice.  It was nice to have a dinner that I could just put in the oven at that point (not that any of them liked it since it contained broccoli).   After homework and dishes were done it was bedtime.  YEAH!!
So another day flew away into history.  Wasn't the best but definitely wasn't the worst.  I hope you all had a day that left you feeling like you made a difference.  If you didn't, it doesn't take having a family to feel that way.  There are so many people you could reach out to and make a difference.  Find one today.  As always, I pray that reading about my life will encourage you no matter what your life is like, especially those who are single (enjoy the quiet times and don't take them for granted).
God Bless
Kathy

You know what, enjoy it all. I am a male, and have been a single parent now for 16 years. My Son is now in his 2d year at Colorado State University, and I rarely see him. He has a job near school, so even on the Holidays, I get little time. I miss him so much, and it seems like only yesterday that I found myself crying along with the Mom's that sent their kids off to 1st grade. Cherish these moments
