I will kill anyone who messes with art. ANYONE
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hyEHdKMeAipyZ10L1cAmHRn3 uwbQ

The former is a link to the story about 5 drunken people who broke into a museum in Paris while they were drunk, and then proceeded to PUNCH a painting by Claude Monet. MONET for God's sake it's a Monet painting!!!!! And they punched it leaving a 4 inch gash in the middle of the painting...

I saw red when I heard this story. Not only do I love art and everything about it, Monet is my favorite painter. In the world. It physically hurt me to hear that someone would be so inconsiderate and stupid to do something like that.

Does nothing have value anymore unless it's an electronic device or something that benefits mankind's daily living? Obviously not since people can punch invaluable works of art.. but this is a trend that has long since been around starting with people as far, if not farther back, as the Romans.

The Romans who, when invading the Greeks, took all of their bronze statues, made marble replicas and then melted down the bronze originals for ammunition...

My mind is officially boggled.

Here's to you inconsiderate a-holes of the world that find it so easy to destroy precious works of art. I hate you.
