Sharp silver blade
Gentlest touch traces a path of blood
Physical pain to mask the hurt inside
But the pain inside always returns

and it must be let out with the blood the way medicine men of long past let out the bad spirits with the blood of their patients. It's easy to let it out for a little while. Harder to live with the pain that no bandage can fix. Hard to just live each day.
