 Concepts of Sexuality
A prominent issue in culture has been to address the concept of sexuality. Including but not exclusively origin and unions. Many have come to claim that said origin is instilled before birth, genetically and one may not be one to disagree with that. This is also considered as a reply to the rival concept that it is reached through conscious decision. Though many may pick one or the other, perhaps there is a certain harmony of the two.
In this theory one might propose that sexuality and orientation may in fact be product of not just genetics but social influences as well. For some the notion is quite preposterous, however the logic can be seen as sound. When taken into account, both arguments can be seen as valid and perhaps both applicable to this situation. One may suggest that combination may explain this issue entirely. For perhaps said radical individuals are instilled with certain traits quite possibly a combination of not only genetically (ie. Appearance and mannerisms) but philosophically as a result of upbringing as well; these concepts being not merely those of nurture but from surrounding and teachings, perhaps in conjunction with the nature of genetic factors as well.
When given certain aspects of appearance and personality tendencies, one may actually relate to and embrace those that are not of the social norm. Theoretically an individual that exhibits certain characteristics of personality and mannerisms may be more inclined to a certain lifestyle because it seems more fitting and comfortable for an individual of such disposition. Not to say that said individuals deviate from the norm intentionally but as a means of comfort; for those who feel that they are of a different orientation it is not based on genetic nor atmospheric but a combination of the two.
This combination generates and can grow to accommodate feelings of comfort and generates a notion of tendency which could quite possibly institute such behavior. So ultimately if one feels deviant from the norm inherently, and is presented with the options brought forth; said individuals might be so inclined to make the choice.

I grew up on a small island that was mostly farm country. The brother and sister down the street were my best friends. The brother was just as happy playing Barbie's as his sister and I.
He was the most feminine of every other kid in high school and was teased beyond belief.
He got married and had three children. He was married for fourteen years, to which he now calls "holding his breath".
When he came out, it was the most joyous time in his life, even though he was shunned from much of out community.
You cannot tell me that he ever had a choice, you can't say to me that he wasn't born the way he was born.
There wasn't anything comfortable in being gay at all for him. Certainly, not in our home town. He suffered immensely for finally just simply being the person he always was. The person he was born to be. Other than the person he lives with, nothing else has changed. He is the same exact hilarious guy he always was.

This statement can in some light verifies the point at hand in that said individual had to make the choice based on a principal of what feels comfortable. This in no way states that said decision was improper but rather suiting for said individual based on instilled behavior and tendencies.
