Description: It is known to all of us that the Quran was revealed in the arabic language, the language of the Prophet ( SAW) and his companions. For this very reason it is important for those that want to recite the quran to know how did the arabs at the time of the revelation of Quran use to pronounce the 29 letter of the the Arabic language. But when people from all corner of the world started entering Islam the scholars of that time feared for the Alteration in the recitation of the Quran due non-arabs accepting Islam. Hence Allah (S.W) inspired these scholars to document the Rules of recitation based on the way the Quran was recited at the time of the Prophet (SAW). This knowledge of was named by the scholars as tajweed.
