Well this week had quite a bit of important lessons coming at us. There were quite a few that came up from Tim just as we were going through the play. I think that the one that I thought about the most was when Tim told us about not measuring a performance on the reaction of the audience during the performance. Quite a few of us were really worried during on of the performances with the small audience because it did not seem like we were doing a good job because they were not reacting. I thought later that we did quite a good job after I had talked to the audience that night.
Another lesson that I liked was the one when Corin and Ali had Nutterbutters and Pretzels instead of cheese and crackers. Tim talked about how the cheese and crackers had been bought for a specific thing in the play and how they should be used. It was something that in no way ruined the show but it was something that was important because if we start to just let things slide then we start to slip up in all sorts of aspects. It is important to try to do everything to the best of our ability and to try use everything we have but make sure that we do not make to many compromises along the way.
I should be done writing my scene work soon. I hope that it will go over well. I went through many different ideas before even getting to where I am with it now but I am still kinda worried about it. I still know that it is going to be quite a bit of work. I am becoming more and more busy with different activities as Scapin has come to a close. I was recently elected as President of the Venture Crew for my church and that is going to take up quite a bit of time. However I am making sure that I am setting aside time so I can get this and my other Senior project done. In case anyone else was wondering my other senior project has to do with a book called A Clockwork Orange. It is very interesting so far. Let me just leave it at that.
