bjm...I'm right with you there sister. I went to the cemetery last night and put a flag on my dad's grave. He fought in the Korean Conflict. The cemetery was full of flags..It is just sad. Gone but not forgotten. :)

yes it is sad, im going to my dad in laws grave they are having a event, world war 1, he was a pilot of a B29,,,,, peace to ya always,,xx

I have no grave to go to, but I grieve my Father also. He was a young marine in WWII and in Korea. My brother is going back on deployment to treat wounded in the mideast.Thank you to our servicemen and women! We remember the sacrifices some have made.

My dad just passed in September and was a soldier in the Korean War. I miss him so much.. He used to say-"you gonna miss me when I'm gone" to which I would reply the meanest ones outlive the nice ones. He was right! I was also right..he was a nice one.
My heart goes out to all who are no longer here and those who never received the love and welcome they so deserved. The good thing is that those that are still alive give us the opportunity to right a wrong and give them a thanks they might have missed then.
