Our elder folks need to be taken care of better.

I love listening to our local talk radio It has some real good programs representing varied opinions.

The other day there were some very interesting conversations local issues and taxes. This led to me my thoughts about the elderly and property taxes. It is a shame that someone can work all their lives, pay for a home, raise their children to just loose it later in life over property taxes.I believe that the financially strapped elderly should not have to pay property taxes on their homes that are payed for. The deserve a break for all the years they did their part as a tax payer, property owner and citizen. Being taxed because you own something is stupid to begin with.

I have to agree with you. I think they need to give a break to the elderly. I think that once you reach the point were you draw Social Security for yourself then you should not have to pay taxes on stuff you own.

This is a disgusting tax put upon the poor, there are many rich
folk in the world to tax as they have way more money than they
will ever need in their lifetime.
