So I went to the mall today. I was looking for a new pair of shoes becasue I had an important luncheon to attend. Focusing on a new pair of shoes. Gonna buy me a new pair of shoes. Don't need anything else, just a new pair of shoes. Needless to say, I visited a few other shops, not shoe stores of course, and ended up buying a few DVD's, a cool lamp, and a recliner for my living room. WTF? I'm guilty of getting enticed and exploring/shopping for cool new things. Does anyone have a clue as to why I do this? Who else buys things, they don't neccessarily "need" and why?

Maybe you just needed a change. Enjoy your new stuff. I hope the chair is comfortable.

A change from anything. I was mostly implying that you picked up the chair, the DVD's, and the lamp because what you really needed was something new and not just shoes.
Never underestimate a comfy chair.

I do that all the time. don't feel bad about spending a few extras on yourself..Hopefully you did get the shoes....Half the time what I go to buy I forget to buy.LOL..How was lunch?

i'm a sucker for the small dollar purchases...aka impulse purchaising...a few bucks for a few minutes of entertainment...i'm hooked. anyone else out there in that same boat?

Impulse buying is an easy fix for whatever else is bugging you. At least tha's my way of justifying it! Don't feel bad.... you work hard for your money; spoil yourself once in a while.

I don't know the cure for buying recliners, but i never go to the food store on an empty stomach. Fatal! ;)

for me the problem is shoes...how do i walk out without buying three pairs? I tell myself I can only get one, you would think i would meet myself in the middle and get 2...nope, there's always that pair that i have to have...:)
