| What is it that drives us to Achieve? |
Because of my studies over the past 18 years I have come to know what it is that drives people to achieve. Also I know that it is not just one thing but a combination of things that bring about achievement. Can you achieve success with just one or two of these things? I would have to say yes, but not to the level you could if you possessed all of the necessary ingredients. The first necessary ingredient is a dream. Sounds simple enough right, but if that were true we would all have everything our hearts desire would we not. By the way that’s called a utopia and it will never exist in this realm. Sorry I hope I did not burst your bubble. Let me state for the record, for those that believe that we can bring about a utopian society, the reason that it will never exist in this realm is due to the nature of greed, which is driven by control. Outside of you control is an illusion that is bought into by those that are being controlled. What that means is that in order to have a utopian society the greed driven people will need to offer the illusion of a utopian society. They do that by controlling every aspect of you life.
Since I touched on the subject of utopia I will address this fact as well. Can I create utopia within myself? The answer to that is no for utopia is by definition an ideal and perfect place or state where everyone lives in harmony and everything is for the best. Now that I have ventured off the beaten path let’s see if I can find my way back to the point of this post. Well for those who have taken the time to get to know me they know and have heard me say I do nothing that does not have a purpose. Now in case you did not catch it my point about utopia is to stress that dreams must be worked for and can never be given, and for this reason. We tend to have no respect for those things not worked for, so much for achieving harmony. Keep this in mind also; I will never point out the obvious in my writings. In person yes, but never in my writings and here is why. You can read to read, which is why most people remain uninformed. You can read to study, which is how most people move ahead in life. Now for the hardest one, and that is to meditate on what you read. Here is where you discover the thoughts of the author.
Now I listed one ingredient outright and that is you must have a dream. By reading to read you can see that fact. I listed two more ingredients and did not bring to much attention to them and you can find them through the process of reading to study although some of you have already developed this skill and the discovery of these two ingredients will have jumped right out at you. But hidden within the thoughts that produces this writing is the most important ingredient and you will only find it by meditation. I assure you it is here and it is contained within the words I have written. Many of you have experienced my looking right through your words to see your thoughts. Some have experienced this through phone conversation with me. So what is it that drives us to achieve?
