Serving Our World is a charity that currently works in Thailand and East Timor. They are a California based registered 501(c) 3 non-profit Charity and tax exempt organization.
The program Helping Hands has volunteer opportunities for teachers, nurses, clinicians, and volunteers on site. Sounds like a fun vacation, when you get to spend time with people from other cultures. You can learn new traditions & language while helping them have a better life.
