Have you heard of Not For Sale? www.notforsalecampaign.org
It is a organization devoted to ending slavery today! As an American, when the word salvery comes up, I think of the past, and would like to think that it ended when the US abolished Slavery in 1862.
Of course you have probably heard of women and children being sold into slavery on the news, so you know it is still alive. Maybe you think it is just in third world countries, but according to the the US government "18,000-20,000 women and children are trafficked into the US each year" I got this from the US Department of state website,

I heard about Not For Sale from Amy, a young woman I met on the train in LA. She was very passionate about the program, and I just had to follow up on it! I hope it inspired you to do something!
