Many people have no idea what this is; some guess animation, though they are right, I prefer the term "Japanese animation". A common example is Dragon Ball Z or Pokémon. I like anime, even though some say "its immature." or "For kids". I don't agree. Anime is for all ages, just like video games, they are rated for certain age. I draw anime; I'm very proud of my drawings and determined to make a carrier out of it. I am happy when I meet someone who has a similar interest. My friends are like me, they like anime, and draw anime. I am lucky enough to even have an anime club at my school. There are many different genres of anime, like fantasy, action, romance, and others. Anime has gotten really popular in the past decade or two. Before there is anime there is a manga. Manga is a "Japanese comic", it is made before the anime and it is usually ahead in the story than the anime. Sometimes the manga continues even though the anime is done, the anime has an alternate ending and is the "real" ending of a story.
Every year in the local triangle there is an anime convention. It is a place where many people from different states and local areas that come to share their interest. It is usually held at a hotel of some sort. There you can dress up as your favorite character it's called "cosplay". It is kind of like Halloween, when you dress up as a character except it’s for all ages. Though it may seem weird and funny a first but it is actually quite fun. There are different events and places to go. You can buy merchandise that is rare to find and most of the stuff is imported from Japan and can only get it from there. I look forward to it this year.
