Tonight I saw on the news that food prices are rising. They said the things that have gone up the most are eggs, milk, chicken, tomatoes.
I have a solution- STOP Eating those things.
Do you want to save money on your food bill and lose weight at the same time.
Do what I do . Every Sunday or Monday I go to Trader Joes or a Grocery stote.
I buy a large bag of brown rice, fresh produce and some frozen fruit. I also buy Almond mild or Rce Milk - NO COWS MILK for this girl ! Cage free / free range eggs. Frozen wild salmon, tofu and nuts. Sometimes a box of some healthy cereal.
For breakfast I have a protien shake with flax seeds, protien powder, fruit fresh or frozen ad half water half rice milk and some flax oil.
OR i will eat brown rice and ONE egg. Occassionaly some cereal with nuts and fruit mixed in.
Lunch is some spinach from the large bag I bought, tomamtoes, cucumber, carrots, nuts, beans ( canned) and maybe some tuna but usually not. Dressing is a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. NO SubWay Sandwiches on white flour processed buns !
Dinner is steamed veggies, fake chicken by Morning star or Quorn or Trader Joes or a peice of Salmon.
snacks are apples/ peanut butter or some greens type bar I bought on VitaCost.com in the sale section. Sometimes a protien drink.
So what have i bought thats packaged from the above ????- VERY LITTLE. If you eat primarily vegetables and whole grains you will save money and enjoy great health. Don't buy packaged CRAP.
On the news they said more people are using coupons - OK - coupons for the most part are for processed, packaged, no nutrient dead food. Stay away from this stuff. It will poison you over time.
