| Poem: Deep In My Soul |
Deep in my soul I feel hallow and cold
Deep in my soul I feel loved and appreciated
Deep in my soul I feel ugly and ashamed
Deep in my soul everyone knows my name
Deep in my soul I feel like giving up and letting go
Deep in my soul I feel like being strong and holding on
Deep in my soul I feel afraid
Deep in my soul I know that I’ll be okay
Deep in my soul I feel regret and frustration
Deep in my soul I feel accomplished
Deep in my soul I feel sad and alone
Deep in my soul I feel passion
I have feelings of good and bad
I have feelings of happiness and being sad
I want to cry and accept that I will never be anything
But I look in the mirror and see the good heart I have
My mind puts be down but my heart lifts me up
My mind tries to discourage me but my heart encourages me
I am me and that’s all I can be
I’m not perfect but I am not worthless
No matter what you think of me I will never let you hurt me
No matter who you are you can never feel my pain
No matter who you are you can never take my dreams away
No matter who you are you can never make me
No matter who you are you can never break me
Because deep in my soul I know that you are nothing and you can never make me anything
