OK... everyone has one guilty pleasure. Mine is not chocolate... though I love it. It's not even "Law & Order" or "CSI" though they are some of my favorite TV.. but no.... my guilty pleasure is wrestling.
The sight of big, hairy, sweaty men in a ring beating the crap out of one another... Oh My God!
This fetish started when I was a little girl and my uncle took me to see wrestling. Back then Rick Flair was a young man and men like Wahoo McDaniels and Black Jack Mulligan (who I was dearly in love with) ruled the ring and we only saw the shows on Saturday afternoon.
As the "sport" (yes, I know it is not "real" and the matches are choreographed... I don't care) has changed I have fell in and out of love with it over and over. I guess the question is why? Why would an intelligent, well spoken woman get so caught up in what can only be called testosterone soap opera?
Maybe its the theater aspect of it.. the passion play... the drama of it all. Maybe its all the good looking guys. (HHH causes me hot flashes and The Undertaker gives me chills. John Cena is my "baby bro" because he looks like what every baby brother should be and Ric Flair, now old enough that he should think of retirement, still thrills me.) Maybe it's just pure escapism.
It does not matter. It is my guilty pleasure.
I went to see Monday Night Raw at my local coluseum on December 3rd - my bachlorette party. It was wonderful. Like a yummy box of chocolates, I devoured it and I can't wait for more. Check out the pictures. |

Don't we all neee to indulge in our guilty pleasures?
I hate it, but my guilty pleasure is the show "The Girls Next Door" I love nothing more than to hate Kendra. I love it as much as I hate her.
I'm sure I have more, I'm just not sure I would admit them in public.
