Is America being under-educated on purpose? Best way to detour a revolution is to subdue the masses is to keep them uninformed.

My(Bearding) answer:
More taxes. More effort. More work. We have been given the privilege to learn. Having this pleasure has caused us to take advantage of it's beauty. When the average tax payer is asked to work a little bit extra to ensure the educational future of a child, they do not accept the responsibility. They vote against paying more money to schools. When the politician says "I will ensure money for your child's education." You vote for the competing politician. The downfall of America's educational system starts when a child does not take out the trash when they say they will. They learn it is alright to go back on a promise. The behavior continues and eventually upgrades to worse behavior. they learn it is alright to go back on a promise, it is alright to lie. In the long run, they do not wish to finish school, get a job, or take responsibility for an action. This is not a problem brought upon by the government, this problem forms because of the parents. The parents job is to teach a child about a promise, responsibilities and consequences, but instead i see a parent trying to be a friend. It is not the government's fault the youth is uneducated, it is ours. We do not give that extra tax dollar where needed, and we do not show our children it is important to succeed and get a education. We are corrupting our youth one child at a time.
