| Juan Pierre back on the field |

The Dodgers' lineup continues to fluctuate with Juan Pierre getting the start at left field in Tuesday's game. Andre Ethier, who had the position, moved to right field where Matt Kemp was. Kemp unarguably took his seat on the bench.
"We have young guys who are probably better off playing than coming off the bench, and we also have a veteran who is used to playing, and I'm talking about Juan, of course." Torre wants his players to feel comfortable early in the season, so moves like this should be expected to continue.
Tuesday's game against the Giants may not have gone as smoothly as the Dodgers' Opening Day game, but they managed to pull a win out. The offense was the winner this time when Delwyn young drove in a run in the bottom of the ninth, bringing the game to a close with a final score of 3-2.
There was a little drama on the field when third base coach Larry Bowa berated the umpire. The rule that says a coach is not supposed to leave the dugout was not inforced during spring training, according to Bowa, so he was still furious after the incident.
Torre did not blame Bowa for his anger. He said the rule was misguided.
The Dodgers are looking like they may be a pretty good team this year, though it is too early to make a real assessment. The rookie DeWitt has proven his worth, at least for the time being and Brad Penny looks like he will have another great year.
