| hell night |
Exhausted, she climbs out of bed to the demands of food at seven am. It was a long night, by four am she finally broke all the rules and brought her daughter into her own bed; perhaps she could get some sleep while her toddler stared into the night. This was not to be so, instead she spent the rest of the night competing for space on her own pillow, and clinging to what little part of the bed she had left.
Making breakfast was always quick and easy, it was the dishes from the night before that angered her. When her daughter threw the eggs on the ground, she lost it. Without any energy to give she just angrily stomped around the kitchen until her emotions subsided at the sound of bubbling coffee. Sipping that first cup, she remembered a playgroup she had promised to attend, glancing at the clock she knew she had officially missed it. Sighing, she brought the coffee into the living room, cleaned up the eggs and put them back on the plate, and watched her daughter play as though the night before had never happened. Would she ever feel that energetic again without her legal stimulant? The coffee never even worked that well!
