| What next for street properties? |
|
I believe some serious questions need to be put to the casp committee as to why they have not asked the council about whether or not street properties are to be targetted for PFI. In neighbouring borough islington street property tenants were forced into a PFI without any say in the matter. This could well happen in camden. Street properties are too costly for councils to maintain and they need the money, plus central governments relentless drive to get rid of as much public owned stock as possible. I'm quite suprised that this thought had never crossed the combined minds of the casp committee.
Putting on a public show of 'doing something' 'because I care' doesn't cut it when your doing deals with the very body your making sqeaking noises about. Dando can't really shout at cllr naylor and make it look convincing because hes caved in and signed the meaningless casp 'compact'. Rodgers and his caring carer will be calling casp a task force next or perhaps the 'communist casp party' ............. what next, george galloway being sneaked onto the committee?
What exactly has the casp committee achieved in three and a half years of being on operation?
What percentage of casps members (to which I am one whether I like it or not) have directly benefitted from the casp committee actually achieving anything? answers on a postage stamp please.
