A single rose
upon the snow,
torn and broken,
all you left behind.
Scattered petals,
like drops of blood
on linen sheets;
a picture without a frame.
Drops of winter rain
freeze the scene;
tear off the page,
begin anew.
Scattered brushes
and drops of colour,
but still a single rose
appears on the snow.

Hey you....
first one l click on for you recently, and this is what l find? sweet :)
anyway, l found one or two lines a little weaker then the rest - specifically "tear off the page" (or at least it seemed it didn't fit.) the reason for that was the outside-feel you have to the rest of it.
the imagery for the most part was of physical, emotional things, then you went to something dry and boring, at least at first glance. was a bit sudden for me.
The "Scattered busshes" took me back to the outdoor imagery, but somehow it didn't quite fit. l think it was the word "bushes" - it seemed... odd, somehow. the phonetcis of it, the visuals. l'm not positive tho.
anyway, hope you didn't mind this - over all, l love the images, the feel to this - it's quite poignant in a way, and beautifully graphic.

You know, I really liked this one. Its sad and haunting. You are an artist haunted by that single red rose stickman. :) Beautiful.
