 Dating true story

As a teenager I thought myself in love with this older man in our small town.I watched on the sidelines as he dated beautiful girl after beautiful girl, got married, had affairs had children got older and still managed to look like a young Robert Redford with orgasmic sized feet. he was extremely bonkable.
By now of course I was older, but the thought of dating this older man was still on my list. I had it bad. He worked in sales for a large department store and i often had to go in there for ........something or other, you know. Eventually my patience was rewarded and he gave me a bunch of flowers and asked me if i would like to go for a coffee. Of course i went, the date went well, we had a 2nd then a 3rd and then he suggested that maybe it would be nice to have an evening at home and watch a video together. I suggested that he may like to have a home cooked meal at mine. he smiled at me and my knees practically went to jelly. Well to be honest my cooking skills are not brilliant, i burn more saucepans than i can keep up with. So I had to cheat a little bit. My neighbour and friend cooked a wonderful curry for me, Marks and Spencer supplied the naans and pickles, Tescos the expensive Australian red and i managed to supply an expertly tossed salad all by myself. Time was getting short but i had time to shower and change into my new floaty dress and spray myself with scent and I waited nervously. He was a little late but gave me a lovely knee jellying kiss and explained that he had to go home to change. He smelt beautifully of aftershave and toothpaste. Well you notice these things, it means they've made the effort. He handed me the flowers and a bottle of red and placed the video on my side cupboard.
He poured us both a glass of wine while i dished up the meal and everything was flowing really nicely, I was too nervous to drink very much but pleased that he was enjoying himself and my neighbours cooking. He graciously gave me the last glass in the bottle and offered to open the other bottle which was still in the kitchen. He was gone for some time so i went to look for him the curry was a little hot, i hoped that it wasn't too hot for him. I opened the kitchen door put my head rather flirtatiously round the corner but no Mr Dreamy. As I moved away there was a movement and i looked behind the kitchen door.Mr Dreamy was sat in a heap with a nearly finished bottle of wine in his hand, dribbling, glazed over and grinning up at me like an idiot.. He'd managed to polish off nearly a whole bottle of wine in a matter of some minutes. It was obvious that he was in no fit state to go home and no taxi would take him in that condition. So i managed to wrestle the nearly empty bottle from his hand and sort of half drag, half sort of stumble him to the living room floor and left him there for the night and went to bed.

The next morning i woke a little late ,being Saturday, put my dressing gown on and went down stairs to survey the damage. Mr.Hot stuff had showered, dressed; was drinking his coffee.and watching the video he had bought for our romantic evening. It was the live recording of Winston Churchills' funeral. I asked him to leave.
