 Did You Know?!
Before reading this blog, it is a MUST that you watch the video first, otherwise you will have no idea what I am talking about. You may have to watch it more than once to get all of the facts!

The link is:
www.youtube.com/watch or if that doesn't work it's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUEhASXb8EM&feature=fvsr

For me, watching this presentation was sort of inspirational yet depressing and scary. It really makes you think about the past, with no internet; the present, and people can't live without the internet; and the future, what's next? This world has changed so much and I really feel bad for elderly people who was around even before television that have to or had to either adjust to this major change or be lost and confused for the rest of their life. It really is crazy to know/learn how fast things are changing in technology. I also feel sorry for people who are illiterate . There were three facts that really stuck out to me, although they all were shocking.

The first one was about there being 31 billion searches on Google every month and who were these questions addressed to B.G. I really thought long and hard about what the answer to that wuestion could possibly be. So I thought about what MY searches are about on Google and figured out a possible answer: these questions majority of the time could be questions you wouldn't want to ask another person, whether you would be embarressed or feel stupid or anything.

The second one was about the students starting a 4 year technical degree; that could possibly be said about students starting any other degree. Either way it goes, this is sad. It makes me feel like college is such a big waste of time and money, yet without a college degree you can't get a good paying job.

The third fact, which also was the most interesting to me was about the students being prepared for jobs that don't yet exist..., that fact brought one lingering question to my mind: how is this possible? I still can't figure out the answer to that one!

With al of these facts being stated about how far technology has come and how far it wil go, it really makes you wonder, "how come we don't have a cure for cancer or any of these other diseases out there?" I think this world should really get it's priorities in order! But hey these are just "my thoughts!"

I think the biggest and most provacative question was at the very end -- "So what does it all mean?"
What DOES it all mean??
Sure every person will come to their own conclusion. But is there really an answer?
