 Train accident
I was on my way out when the 6 o'clock news on the television caught my attention. I was deeply disturbed and probably will be scarred by this image for a long while to come. A baby's pram rolled off the a platform in Melbourne yesterday, in front of an oncoming train. The pram was completely crushed, but somehow, the baby boy survived with only a bump to his head. I was horrified as I saw the event unfold before my eyes on the TV. I was completely beside myself, I nearly cried out in horror.

The mother of the baby had let go of the pram for only a second, a second too long. Some people don't realise that the platforms actually slope down towards the tracks. This is used as drainage for rain. The mother obviously didn't put the brake on, which I still don't understand why, seeing as it's clearly visible that the platforms do tilt down towards the tracks.

Check it out for yourself, both a video and article are included

I will never forget this story. That child is lucky to be alive. It's just a shame the mother wasn't more careful, anything could have happened.
