The Stress of Dealing With a Man's Mother.
My boyfriend and his mother got into a HUGE disagreement a few days ago....so, naturally I'm somehow the reason for everything wrong in her life.  I have NEVER been the least bit rude or insulting to his mother...as a matter of fact, I try to steer clear of her to give her no reason to find fault with me : )  ...and she has given me no inkling that she has disliked me so much since she's known me for nearly a year.  So...back to the original story...he was helping her move furniture from one bedroom to the next...after about 2 hours he decided to sit and take a break and she blew up saying "I hope you don't think you are going to just quit now"...he says he is taking a break...she proceeds to throw things across the hall from one room to the next and he gets irritated and they start yelling.  We leave the house and he refuses to speak to her...the next day, we were at his brother's house watching a movie...when his mother comes storming in and yelling at me that she was just out eating (with his brother and sister in law) and that my sister (who works at the restaurant) came up to her and introduced herself and was very rude.  She ranted that I was obviously spreading rumors about her and how horrible she is.  Now, this is what was actually concluded from the whole situation...my eldest sister had never seen his mother before that day.  My sister was waiting on the table next to where his mother was sitting and could hear his mother insulting me so loud that other tables could hear.  Saying that I'm lazy, a horrible cook, that my boyfriend is going to go downhill if he stays with me...you get the picture.  My sister waited until they were leaving to go up to her and say "Excuse me, but do you know Julia?"  his mother smiled all sweet and said "Yes"...then my sis tells her in a over the top polite, sarcastic voice "She's my sister, she came by my house last night. You have a nice day now."  SO, seems that karma really does bite you back in the ass afterall.  I'm pissed because she was trying to make ME out to be a horrible, spreader of tales...but, it's far sweeter that she made an ass of herself without anyone else having to say a word.  HA HA HA!!!!
