Somedays...when I don't really do anything or go out I feel like a useless slug...today I have been lax with no regret though : ) Outside it's cold and rainy but I've had a perfectly cozy day indoors indulging myself with Dunkin' Donuts coffee, buttery toast with blackberry jam and a Nora Roberts novel (first in the 'Key' trilogy to be exact) It's the simplest things sometimes turn out to be the biggest luxuries. I get the same peaceful, happy feeling being in a bookstore. So many people take reading for granted...and the ability to imagine. Being an avid reader, it honestly makes me sad when someone says they hate to read...anything...it baffles me that someone that CAN read doesn't read SOMETHING. I love being surrounded with books...the smell of them, the sound of the pages turning, the intrigue of the titles...inviting you into new perspectives and realms of existence...or comforting you when an author captures perfectly the way you feel about something personal. I appreciate creativity in many forms. To me, having even millions of dollars would be nothing if you have no imagination. To imagine is to be wealthy...think about some of the most successful people in the history of the world...such as directors, actors, artists, musicians, writers...they are the wealthiest people (not neccessarily with money alone)...and they do the most "frivolous" things. They do what they love and thrive on it.
