Today's Message: You Are Invited
We are all invited to a feast. This is an invitation by the Almighty God, and that invitation is for all that will in repentance come to Him in Jesus name.
Salvation is the most important and cherished gift that we will ever receive, yet few people really understand what it is all about. One can not just read the Bible, go to church, or get sprinkled with water and receive Salvation. Salvation only comes from One Man and that man is Jesus Christ. Jesus' mission here on earth was to teach the lost how they could be found and of course to save us all from a fiery death.
Jesus often taught in parables (short stories), those who understood were those who had faith in Him, those that did not, of course did not have faith in Him, but Jesus taught His Word to everyone. “Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.” - Luke 14:16-24. What Jesus is saying here is that all are invited, rich or poor, to receive the spiritual food that He has to offer, but most have excuses for accepting the invitation. He is not referring to the physical handicapped, blind and maimed, but someone that simply does not have the time to walk in righteousness. When the Holy Spirit touches someone, they are always trying to find a way to avoid making a commitment that would change their way of life. Most people always are to busy, and just don't have the time to spare for God.
Many are so blind that they can't see the truth of the Word, in the simplicity of the Word that our Lord Jesus Christ teaches. They get so wrapped up in the things of the world that they chose to be blind. Jesus, referring to those who never accept His invitation, said not one person who puts their worldly problems ahead of God's path will be there at the feast. The door will be closed in their face, and the invitation cut off. “For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.” -II Peter 1:8,9.
The only way to walk in righteousness is by following the path that Christ has set before us. The kingdom and the supper is open to every one that will accept that invitation: poor, blind, or what ever your conditions, but anytime any person tries to handicap you with the Word of God, they are lying to you. The truth from all of God's Word sets you free. “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:12,13. To receive Salvation is simple, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This means that any person who calls on Jesus to save them will be saved. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” - I John 5:13.
Have a wonderful and blessed day/night
God Bless You,
Christina
