Following the 1999 Columbine shootings, parents and firearms experts Mike Pelonzi and Joe Curran came up with a new way to protect their children: a bulletproof backpack. The product, called My Child's Pack, has a bulletproof panel that kids can use as a shield in case of a shooting, and more than 1,000 have been sold since they were released in August. Some find the idea ridiculous, but Walters' short discussion does nothing to show that it's not a worthy idea.
