Since I wrote about the exhusband I thought maybe I should write more about the only man I should have married.

Well he is nothing short of a God-send! He is almost 12 years older than me (but it takes men so long to grow up). He is a wonderful dad to 5 kids. Three kids before we got together. The youngest of the three is 21. Our youngest is 12. We have two grand babies. One is a 6 yr old boy and the other a 3 year old girl. They are all beautiful. He has raised my daughter and another daughter from a previous marrige that he didn't actually father. He is dad to them just like he has been to any of his other kids. To him they are his! He gets a little quiet when SD is brought up. He doesn't want to share his daughter.

We parent in a very different way that sometimes causes problems. I am the "NO" and he is the "YES". This is one of his few faults. The kids can work him like there is not tomorrow! I have to over-ride most of what the kids ask him with my NO. I have to be the mean one because he has no idea how to not be a marshmellow with them and they would get by with compleate murder if I were to die.
Also we kill the kids with our twisted sense of humor. We think we are totally funny and agree we would have loved to be parented with this technique. The kids don't think were funny. We get plenty of SHUT UPs and eye rolls as we laugh sometimes until we have tears together. Every once in a while the kids will laugh too. Mostly when it is being done to the other kid. We don't play favorites everyone gets a turn.

He was raised by a mommy only. He grew up with 7 girls and 2 boys. This is another huge story I might tell sometime. Yes his mother raised them all on her own. I have no idea how she did it. Until the day she died he called her "mommy". She passed away Sept 30 2006. (I was actually thinking it was longer ago than that. It feels like she has been gone forever.) She adopted my husband when she was 35. He was the apple of her eye and I just know that boy never got spanked for anything. She really thought he could do no wrong and he thought she was the only one who ever wanted him. Her passing aged him. Until then nobody believed he was his age. He lost lots of weight and didn't ever gain it all back. His hair started getting some gray on the sides. It's sad how much he misses her. How much everyone misses her.

He has a very spontaneous nature. But can be very stubborn when he isn't ready to do something. Like going anywhere to get anyone food, milk, pop (what some of you call soda) after he comes home from 4 days over the road. I know it sounds cruel that anyone would even ask him to go anywhere. But the thing about that is if you blink your eyes he will be on the move to some place he decided he needed to go. He loves the marked down section at almost every store. He has a shopping problem. And don't call him when he is with in 5 miles of the house he's not turning around to get anything. It won't do any good to anyway because he won't answer his phone. If he isn't answering it then you know he will be in the driveway any second. Don't think about asking to have anything with a motor looked at. But when he has tools in hand and is ready don't get in his way, he will run over you. You are to put nothing in his 4 car garage so he can have plenty of room to do nothing in there for months. It's his man space and is the envy of most men he knows. I'm surprised he hasn't put a toilet and computer room out there somewhere. That is the biggest reasons he ever comes in the house. It might take up too much man space who knows.

He has the most even temper I've ever been exposed to. I think one of the few ways to make him mad is to mess with his kids or his man space. Don't get me wrong sometimes he can bitch until you think he might explode. But everyone has to vent.

He will be 49 in July. He seems to think he is still 20 or at least his oldest sons age. They are best buddies. I sware those two can read each others minds. They have the same personality for the most part. Talk about humor those two are always laughing about something. They like all the same stuff and hang out as much as they can.

Anyway he is good to me. He is good to the kids. I've never got along with anyone like I have him. We were made for each other. He's my baby!
