If colored threads were woven to make me
Some red for my temper
that came from my dad
mixed with depression and anxiety
that just makes me sad
some anger and hate served
the same time
can protect you or hurt you
it's not just my mind

Some blue from my mom
that just makes
me just chill
never caring or looking
over the next bunch of hills
at the hurtful array
that filled my skies
this might be one reason
for the tears in my eyes
quiet and her outlook
mixed in there somewhere
some times I lay and she pets
through my hair

Some  orange from the
true souls that light the way
to run in someones colors
on a beautiful day
to change some shades
of some hurtful parts
to mix up and clean
my once bleeding heart

Some pink from my sisters
that keeps me on toes
but all at the same time
allows me to know
you can work really hard
and nobody sees
all the stings from the past
that just has had to be
Some cheery blush
when they've decided to care
gold can always
be mixed in somewhere
to sprouce up with shine
an ear to lend
that  seems to be what
makes us blend

Black and purple from friends
I once trusted
no need to look back
been left all disgusted
from the lies and selfishness
I once believed
no one ever feeling the
trueness of my need

Some bright yellow
my husband gave
me one day
to help chase my angiush
and the rues away
He makes all the colors
blend and weave
he knows what color
make up me

God splashed me with White to
fill my days
with the kids right beside me
to walk in my ways
He allows me choose
from His garden
He made it for me
to take part in
What colors will elluminate
my way
depends on how much
Him I trust in today

What color this makes
I don't really know
It all depends on
which ones I
decide to let show
All together it might
make a mess
One day I'll match them
all for my best
