Cecy, dont settle for something. You are talking about a future with this man. Are you really willing to be with him for the rest of your life inspite of knowing that he doesnt make you happy? Knowing that he doesnt let you be who you are? Are you willing to spend the rest of your life being unhappy only so that your parents dont see u as a failure?
Its not a failure if a relationship doesnt work...not all relationships work, and im sure ur parents will understand that.
He cant control your life..your life is in your hands. If this is how he is before marriage, he wont let you do anything after marriage!
You both need to be wholesome individuals to be in this together...he cant make you do things according to his wishes.
Think about this, girl....Honestly, i think you need to evaluate this relationship. Dont settle for something that doesnt make you happy. You might regret it after its too late.

Im with roe on this because i've never asked anyone to do anything dangerous. im more cautious, im the one who warns people AGAINST doing dangerous or crazy things.
Having said that, if i could twist the question a little so that i have an answer, the craziest thing a person has done (not at my suggestion, but in a way FOR me) would be my boyfriend falling in love with me :) It really is crazy...thats the only way to explain a guy like him being with someone like me.
I dont have an inferiority complex or anything, but he's just SO WOW!! :D
So thats the craziest thing someone's done..you could say at my suggestion, because he fell in love with ME so i had SOMETHING to do with it!! :D

Colorado, i really dont understand how you do this. It amazes me. But everytime i've come to your blog, your post has always been something EXACTLY about what i am feeling at the moment, and reading it always makes the day so much easier! How do you do it? Its like you read my mind and then put up a post to make me feel better!!
I was missing my puppy so much yesterday and today. I thought i was moving on, but im only hitting rock bottom all over again. You are so right, we just need to cry it out. I was trying to be strong, i tried to hold back the tears. But today im going to let them flow.
Tomorrow, i will be stronger.

There is nothing he can take from you, Easy. I know nightmares at times are hard to get over. I've been having some myself too, similar ones over and over again, and im afraid it'll end up in a phobia!
But at the end of the day, they're just dreams, they dont mean anything. The FOTY chapter is over. He's lost out on such an amazing woman, he's losing out on watching his beautiful children grow. Its him losing out on an amazing life.
You have your wonderful kids with you always, you've found love with BE, you've got US!!

Anotherdaze, I've heard it stays for around 9 months...so yeah, no puppy for a long time. Besides, we were anyway planning to take some time before bringing a new one home. We plan to shift houses later this year, so we might get one then.

I can only imagine how hard it hits you when its the one person you love more than anyone else who gets cancer. My grandfather and my grandmother both had cancer. They couldnt make it, but there are so many people who did.
I know the fear of relapse, and i can only imagine how much stronger it must be for you since it is your husband who is concerned. Those emotions are natural, it isnt a small thing to deal with. But what i have learnt, is that just being positive goes a long way.
I know you cherish each day...and i wish you and your family all the health and happiness. Just be positive..and be strong :)
You could join a support group...i know it helped me to get over my own pain, and help others facing the same problems. It always helps to talk to people in the same situation. Besides, you have a survivor story here, and that'll give so many patients so much of hope! Just a suggestion..

Hey girl...I'm in a similar situation with one of my friends...and i know that feeling of helplessness. It kills you, but then all you can do is just be there.
I know what you mean about knowing that it'll work out and them not seeing that...you really DO feel like strangling them!!
I hope things work out for both of you...just be there, thats all that you can do at the end of the day.

Hehehe...nice post KP :) I've been learning to drive, and my dad drives me crazy! I'm just learning so you can imagine at what speed i must be driving...so here i am doing my thing...and he'll keep yelling "CAREFUL!!"
"SPEEDBREAKER!!"
"ANOTHER CAR!!"
"WATCH THAT SIDE!!"
It is REALLY annoying...i have eyes too...i SEE the cars and trust me, i KNOW the speedbreaker is there!

I dont think its too much love. Well yeah, maybe in a way it is. I know what you're talking about. I feel the same way. I'm sorry yellow, but i'll have to disagree with you here. I dont think its right to let go.
People are different and love differently. We cant expect everyone to express their love in the same way.
I think women are more expressive, and need to be loved, held, cuddled more. We need to be told we are special, we need to be told how much the guy loves us. I see nothing wrong with wanting and needing that love.
Guys on the other hand (not generalising here), although feel all the love, dont express it in the same way.
I know what you mean about the love pouring out. It happens with me too. Im definitely the more romantic one. I do all these really sappy things to make him smile...and he does smile, and gets really happy.
Its not that he's not romantic...he is...a lot of times. At others, he lives comfortably, thinking that i know he loves me and that its all that matters. he is a sweetheart though...and i know he loves me more than any other guy ever will...so i continue pouring out my love for him.
You need to see if he doesnt love you the same way because he is just not as expressive as you are, or if it is because you are being taken for granted.
You love this guy, so dont give up on him. Im sure you can work it out.
If you think you're happy knowing that he loves you, even if he doesnt express it as much, then you'll be fine. Just let him know once in a way that you need his love..that you need to hear it from him. Talk about it.

There was this one time when i was seriously ill, and my mom kept trying to reach the doc, and he wouldnt answer.
Finally, two days later (after the storm had passed) we got to know that the doc was admitted in hospital due to a stroke!!

I agree with you about the balance in life. But i dont agree with the balance being with different people. i dont agree that for every sad person there is a happy person. If there is balance, its within the person. For every happiness that I get, I'll get sadness too. For every sad moment that you go through, you'll get happiness. Yes, I might not KNOW, but I believe. THis is my belief.
I agree that you wont know what'll happen tomorrow. Its not knowing, its believing. Its living in a hope of a better tomorrow. Im sad today, i might be sad tomorrow. But i do believe i'll be happy eventually. That belief helps me to know. That belief helps me to hope. All you need is the belief. And what you believe is upto you. And i do believe that your beliefs affect your feelings. You might believe that you're doomed for a life of sadness. Believe that, and it'll most likely happen. Or you might believe that somewhere down the line, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday, you'll find happiness. Live in the hope, and i BELIEVE that you'll find it :)

I think I fall in your category of 'true, requited, committed relationship, tested over time LOVE', so here goes.
I agree completely with E2S because BF was my best friend too. It does feel right, somehow. Im not very sure of how to explain it. Somehow, it felt like this is where im meant to be. That he is meant to be with me. Its like how you feel when you fit the last piece into the puzzle and its complete. It feels like that. Besides, the time spent away when we "broke up" was a much needed jolt to both of us. We both realised how right the 'us' is. Everything else makes no sense. Its the only thing that makes sense. And you see it working out. Its when you cant see a future with any other guy. Atleast thats how it has been for me :)

I feel your pain girl. I've been there. Its horrid how each little thing reminds you of him. He's never been at my place, but just going to my room reminds me of how we'd spend hours talking at nights on the phone while he was here. Its crazy!!
