The moment I saw you
I knew you were the one
This love, this life
Had only just begun
I held you in my arms
while you snuggled up close
And as you fell asleep
I gently kissed your nose
You stepped into our home
And brought laughter and joy
I watched as you played
And thought "He's my little boy!"
As the day drew to a close
You'd snuggle under my bed
And I'd watch you, little angel
As you'd slowly lull your head
You were my baby, my sunshine
Your sight would make me smile
You were my little angel
And I'd known it all the while
But soon you got ill
And I had to see you in pain
I saw you fight it all
Through the thunder and the rain
The last time I held you
I knew it was goodbye
I couldn't stop the tears
When I said, "Love you lil guy"
Heaven's doors are open for you
Go, baby, run and go play
Someday I'll find you again
And tomorrow is a bright new day
Just want you to know
I miss you each moment, each day
If I could only bring you back,
I'd run and take you away
Goodbye, my little friend
You've moved to a better place
Its time to let go now,
And that reality I have to face.
I miss my puppy more each day. Everyone says the pain passes with time, but its hard when everything reminds me of him. But i'm being strong, and today I am smiling :)

awww Angel, beautifully written my friend.. Do you have a photo of your puppy?? Im sure you do.
Maybe you could print out the above poem and frame it with a picture of his gorgeous little face?
Hang it where you can see it, and take inspiration from such a beautiful little creature.

i know how hard it is to lose an animal you love so much. its heartbreaking. people dont realise how important, and apart of the family they become. i know i could say, just take it one day at a time. but it still hurts. so here is a big hug for you hun, i'm here if you need me *hugs*

And yeah, hugs.Pets make life beautiful and I'm sure your pup was a wonderful one! I can't take away the sadness but there will be one day when your pain would be lessened and as long said, happy memories will be yours to keep! And I'm glad you're smiling :)

my baby boy passed away a few years ago. He was the only'child' I have had adn I miss him always. The pain does eventually lessen, but I know he's in a better place and waiting for me.

I'm a total animal lover. Nothing is as cute as a baby dog. Any kind. Even if they are no longer cute grown they are all cute babies.
*Hugs* I hate it that your hurting so bad for the little guy. I wish I could give him back to you.

Prelude, thanks...you are right, its sadness in between. Thats exactly how i'm feeling. Some days i smile thinking he's in a happy place, and i think that i'm getting over this, and then the next day something completely random reminds me of him, and the waterworks start!!

coma, i feel your pain...i know my pup is waiting for me too :) Maybe till we go to them, they will both be getting along and chatting about us :) And maybe once we go there, we'll find them sitting together happily :)

anotherdaze, i wish you could give him back to me too!! and he was the cutest baby ever!! my mom was initially against a pup, but she loved him the minute i held him in my arms :) And then later that day she was telling me proudly, that he is better looking than any other dog :)
