So I went to the biggest snowmobile expo in the U.S. last weekend in West Yellowstone. I couldn't believe how much snow they have up there mid-March. And how freakin cold it was the whole time. It wasn't too far of a drive from my house- about 4 hours. It's crazy how different the weather is up there. We sold snowgear in our boothe for our local snow store and did pretty good- $15,000 in 3 days. I don't think I've ever stood up for so many hours. It was a fun experience, but I don't know if I'd ever do it again. At least we stayed at the hotel that hosted the expo and the hotel had a bar. Can't go wrong with an in-hotel bar. Just have to worry about making it down the hall. We all got pretty drunk three nights in a row, and also very hungover three mornings in a row. Way too hungover. Almost worth the hangover though havin such a good time at the bar. I met some pretty crazyass-cool people from Minnesotta. Quite possibly the craziest drunks I've ever met. Plus our hotel room was leaking from the ceiling so we were upgraded to a suite for free. Can't complain about that one. All in all it was a fun weekend. It was a nice, much-needed escape from here. Crazy enough it actually felt good to be home for once. Haven't felt that way for a long time. Even just the warmer weather and less snow here made me happy to come home to. And to sleep in my own bed with good pillows. And to be home with my two dogs that I missed like crazy. Sometimes it's nice to step outside of your world for a bit so you appreciate it more when you get back. |

nice blog so you got drunk ok yellow stone nice been there in summer not fall. Lived in iowa for a time but today live in China teaching and loveit more than Iowa hahaha
