| Scotland (kinda) |

Naarrgh, I’ve got a cold. That’s just what I need. I thought surely I’d be past the colds for the winter. (Though seeing as England is not so good at summers, I guess that was a little optimistic.)
So, here is the official word, set in stone: I am moving to Edinburgh. I have given myself four weeks to get everything sorted out in London, and then I’m going. It’s not been the easiest decision, but I am incredibly excited by the prospect.
So, I’ll get back to that in a moment. My trip to Scotland was awesome. I really am glad I got my act together and got it all sorted out, it turned out to be the best decision I’ve made whilst in the UK. The trip up there was kinda crappy - nine hours on a coach it’s not the best way to spend a day. It was completely worth it though, I was so blown away by Edinburgh. I don’t know what I was really expecting, I was actually a little bit scared when I got off the coach, this was the first city I’d gone to alone since Amsterdam. But as soon as I got outside, I felt really good about the place. I guess it helped that it was warmer than London.
I spent the first night in one of the nicer hostels I’ve stayed in. Met some nice people, no one particularly memorable, but again, no one who was going to steal my socks or anything like that. I did really well in picking my hostel, though, it was literally a twenty second walk from the door to the Haggis office, where my tour was leaving that morning. It was uphill, but I guess you deal with that kind of thing…
Haggis was mountains of fun, too. The Scottish highlands are just beautiful, I’ve never really seen anything like it. There was a heap of snow, and it was absolutely freezing, but the scenery was stunning.
Okay, I’m running late so I’ll have to finish this another time. I haven’t even got to the interesting bit where I decide to leave London.
