This past week in the windy city the weather has been utterly atrocious, the average temperature during this terribly cold week has been -15 degrees Celsius. As a member of the commuter community waiting for public transportation has become a dread every morning. Recently the cold weather has caused a lot of issues for the city of Chicago, because of the salt deposits that are used to melt ice it has also caused a spike in potholes across the city. The pipe systems across the city have also taken the brunt of this winter chill with pipes busting across the cities North side, flooding and freezing over the streets. I know that my fellow Chicagoans are thinking that this is nothing new and I should toughen up but as a son of Chicago winters global warming does not seem so bad Al.
