There is a video on Ebaumsworld.com that I just watch and it was about this couple who just return from their honeymoon and their house was on fire (from all the fires that are going through in the US) and like a very responsible person, the woman called around to let the phone company what had happened and to cancel her services for now until everything would be alright (she had the phone and satellite services with them). The employe asked her if she had time to save the receiver before the house burnt down. She told them that was the last thing on her mind. Then the employe told her that she had to pay the 300$ for the receiver....what??? She just been through all that and they had the nerve to tell her she had to pay that receiver because *she didn't save it*. Then she asked if they could wait until the insurrance stuff would get all arranged so they could pay the receiver then but they told her that she had to pay that 300 as soon as the bill arrived at the mail or she would get some trouble as you would get with all normal bills.
That is so unfair. I'm pretty sure that some people made that excuse to the compagny before and they are tired of it, but that couple really went through that hurtfull experience and she can't get sympathy from this compagny...what an injustice...
