| the rain falls fast and hard too

Outside its pouring complete with thunder, lightning and hail. I should be enjoying its beauty but instead i decided to write a blog. I just wanted to put down in words how purely amazing my day was. Today i decided to go to the library to get a book that i have to do a report on for my AP class. While i was searching for this book i ran into a guy i know who just happened to be looking for the same book. We both had no such luck in finding it but that didn't stop us from talking for almost an hour. You see, in school we talked now and then but not enough to consider us friends. This might have made things awkward but it really wasn't. Conversation just seemed to flow and when i realized that my parking meter had long run out, it seemed like we were both a little sad our talk had to end so suddenly. He walked me out to my old dump of a car and after he made fun of how i drive a piece of junk, he asked me to meet him at the coffeeshop downtown that most kids our age go to. While driving, i couldn't help wondering if this was really happening to me. I mean, this is the kind of stuff that would usually happen to my best friend, hannah. Anyways, we get our coffee and end up walking around downtown. As soon as i ditched my now watered down iced latte, he grabbed my hand and interlaced his fingers with my own. He told me that he's wanted to do that ever since we started walking but i was a little busy with my purse in one hand and my coffee in the other. I don't know, i was just getting this feeling that this guy could be something more. We ended up on a park swing by the river somehow. It was like something out of a movie when he said that he liked me and he has for a while. He said it was fate that we ran into each other today. This is not your average 17 year old boy i'm talking about. He plays guitar, piano, and sings, but still has time for lacrosse. However, i thought that things were just going too fast. I mean, we just bumped into eachother today. So instead of just making it official that we were a couple, we decided to go on a few dates first. So tomorrow he says he's going to beat me in a game of mini golf.... i have my doubts on that and that alone. This was just what i needed to pick up my spirits after being kind of hard on myself with this whole diet thing. I'll write more tomorrow if i can.
