spanking or time out?

So, to all the mommies and daddies out there... What are your thoughts on spanking (not maliciouslybeating) and/or time out?

		time out, works for me, i was used as a punching bag when i was little, swore i would never touch them,not saying you dont feel like ringing their necks sometimes, think the time out is more for ME, peace

		If time out works, then by all means go for it. If you end up with kids like my brother, a smack on the bum might be the better way to go.

		I was beaten up as a child by both of my parents but I used both time out and spankings with my children and they grew up fine and still love me. Sometimes the time outs work, sometimes they don't. After the age of 10 I never spanked as it was easier and worked better to revoke privileges as by then things are becoming more important, ie: going to friends homes to play, tv, video games, etc. Some of today's kids are too spoiled and aren't afraid to be punished as they can intimate their parents. Work in any mall store and watch some of these little monsters at work and how they ignore the parents that just say "now Mary or Jimmy or insert any name here...don't do that" and continue to do whatever disruptive behavior they were doing because they are not worried about the consequences of their actions...Mommy and Daddy won't do anything. Rant over, sorry..

		Well my son is very bad he swears and everything I do smack him on the hand and shit
