 ARE SHRIMP A DIET FOOD?
If so, I´ve been such a good boy today. If not, oh oh! Let´s see now; shrimp omelet at the hotel this morning. Shrimp diablo at a sidewalk cafe for lunch, after checking out the sports fishing fleet. Lots of captains who wanted to take me out fishing, and they ASSURED me the fish were really biting. But, two boats came in while I was hanging around, and between the eight people, all of whom has been on the water eight hours, only one fish was caught. I think I´ll take a pass. Got back to the hotel about 4 and did the siesta thing. Headed up to the The Golden Zone about eight. Walked around for a while watching the spring breakers doing things they don´t ever want their parents to know about. Ended up having a seafood (mostly shrimp) cocktail for supper.

If I crawl out of bed early enough, I might head down to the bus depot and do an out of town trip, probably to Copala. You all have a great Saturday night.

This'll just be a short trip, Larry. Heading up to Copala, which should be in the foothills of the Sierra Madres. And hopefully it will be out of the fog which has embraced Mazatlan.

Nicole and I discovered Bubba Gumps the first time we went to Maui. It's a fairly cheesey chain restaurant, but they have a wide assortment of shrimp dishes, starting with the 1lb bucket of garlic shrimp for snacking. The last time we were on the island we probably went to Gump's every second day. So whether shrimp count as diet food or not, I certainly understand the addiction.

Sounds like Maz has been good to you. I envy the relaxed pace your setting, the siestas seem like a very, very good idea. Keep on enjoying, keep on posting.

Bubba Gumps, eh? Yep, that sounds about as cheesy as El Shrimp Bucket. Speaking of which................
