I know my future's in Your Hands
My mum just showed me this article in the Brunei Times. The title really caught my eye.

It has always been my dream to go and study in Oxford actually. Cambridge, perhaps one of the few under my list. Not that I actually have a list of dream colleges. Though I really do want to go to UK for my future studies. Anyways, yeah, Oxford and Cambridge would be a great place to study actually. I mean, you've got good lecturers and all. And by the picture at the side (Well, it's coloured in the paper. Haha!), it seems like it has great views and all, not taking in consideration that the picture may have been taken by a professional with a super advanced and oh-so-accurate camera, or that the picture may have possibly be edited in Photoshop and whatnot. Haha.

I would most probably be taking Chemistry as a major considering I, recently, aspire to be a Chemical Biologist. I mean, my mum, before, occasionally teased me for growing up to be one of those people in the medical field, mixing and matching the different chemicals and all, trying to find a cure for some disease, trying to find a cure for cancer (Better, a prevention.). I'm liking Chemistry now. Seem to understand the ways and means pretty fast, though it does take a while to sink in for some theories and all. Chemical practicals aren't so bad, once I get the hang of it. And, of course from the occupation name, I would also be taking Biology. Or so, I assume.

But from this, what my dream job is, is like those chemists in CSI, in the labs and stuff. I have no idea what they're called. Haha. But that has just got to be the greatest job I'll ever have. Yes, even though I find blood a bit...gross and stuff. Not blood as in blood packets. More like, blood slowly oozing out from whoknowswhere and... I shall not continue. I don't faint or stuff when I see blood and all, though. Well, it's not like fainting when one sees blood is usual, anyways.

Apart from my aspiration to be a Chemical Biologist, there are of course other things. Like back up plans or something. Another one on my list is to be a Psychologist. This used to be my first choice. Of course, I do realize I would get a PhD and I would have to do other things while in the process of slowly achieving this, if ever. But, I like to think. I like to help people in their problems, help them through them, be accountable. I like to make sense out of things. I just like to think.

Way down the list though is to be a teacher. Most probably in Maths, or possibly Chemistry. I like to get involved with people and the way I see it, being a teacher is the easiest and the most wide ranged way I can impact the lives of children and youths in schools. Talk about being a light. Places like schools have got to be the most easiest place to win hearts and souls. But, of course, this is still pending.

On another page, there are certain desires in me to want to be a pastor or a missionary. Pastor being that I seem to love to care for people (Like mentioned above in the Psychologist paragraph.). Missionary being that I have this knack for languages (If you want to read on this, go to the blog. It's somewhere in the archives....) and also I would love to share His Love to different cultures, even though I'm not exactly one for travelling. Well, I've had this feeling that I'm going to build a church or something. Hmm...

But it'll still be pretty cool to go to UK to study. Of course, I do need to stand strong and stand firm in my faith and not blow a hole in my pocket, if really I do go there. Haha.

But we'll see what happens. I can plan all I want but He has the best plans ever. So we'll just see what happens...
