I give up. I don't understand what is wrong, I feel totally forgotten. I know this is a busy time of year but to not respond to email or even to say Merry Christmas back......... What the hell am I? Invisible? I mean really they could have sent something back saying Merry Christmas or something. How hard is it to do that? I can take the time to let them know I cared enough to send them a card or ecard they could at least reply or even take a minute to say hi. People are so self absorbed these days they forget how to be friends. They only see themselves and what they need. What happened to taking time for friends? Saying hey once in a while? If i never said anything to any of them again they would never even notice. Why do I bother to care about them and what they are up to when it is not mutual. Is there anyone out there who actually knows how to put effort into friendship anymore? Am I the only one who believes that when you have a friend you talk to them once in a while, want to hang out with them, do things together and be there for each other? I feel its all one sided on my part. I want to hang out with my friends, listen when they need to talk, share things with them and I am happy to see them when I do. I don't throw my friends away or replace them with the next "fun" person comes along. I am so mad and frustrated. |

Friendship takes time to develop. It requires a lot of patience, and an empathic approach to the other persons state in life.
Yes people get busy, but I don't believe they seek to ignore you. Communication is the answer as a clear air seems to address alot of misunderstanding.
I wish you a Merry Christmas Alleen. I hope you keep posting here at thoughts.com so you can achieve a few more friends. I see three interested individuals commenting already. :)
