Has not many of Darwins ideas been proven wrong by others in the science arena? I thought I read this in a publication like National Geo. a while back. If so I guess you could say this about Darwin. I am not coming from a religous point of view. I just had a thought about this when I read it. Kind of like the world was flat until it was not type of thing.

The people spreading creationism around claim Darwin's theories are wrong, and/or debunked.
This is not true.
On 24 November 1859 the book Origins of Species was published, the book had nearly 29 years of research and evidence compiled at that time. The missing part of the theory better known as "the missing link" was discovered 2 years after the book was published.
for a start check out this.

Since the original publish the movement around Darwin's ideas has changed, branched and evolved. His book at the time was revolutionary and completely outside the norm.
It was as true and as accurate as it could be at the time it was conceived. If you want to make your own views read the book. It is available at any public library.
As for the credibility of national geographic...I have been seeing many things produced by them lately that is politically driven, lacking of any integrity, and completely biased.
If you really want to know something at this time, unfortunately you have to do your own research.
