 Wreckio Theatre Ensemble
This week was definitely awesome!  Tuesday the weather was bad so unfortunately you guys couldn't see my shining face.. tear... haha just kidding. But on Wednesday we started the training with the Wreckio Theatre Ensemble. They weren't amazing. On Wednesday we worked on viewpoints and we did exercises that would make us heighten our senses like the exercise where three people would have to be sitting and two standing, while our eyes were closed. It was interesting and it seemed like a lot of the exercises and techniques they taught us were about reactions to other characters and other people in the scene. How does this person affect you differently from this person? It was really interesting and I really think it gave me another level to play with with my acting. Thursday was by far my favorite day. We worked with all the chakras and it was our most physical day. We heightened each chakra and took note of differences between them, how they feel, and colors, elements, and animals that were associated with that certain chakra. This is something I will definitely use for now on in my acting. I absolute love this method and believe that especially in a show like Scapin, the characters can become more vivid with these techniques. I discovered that Hyacinth is a character who uses the Air, Fire, and Water Chakra the most. She compassionate and is madly in love with Octave and uses the sensualness of the Water Chakra. But, if you mess with her, the claws will definitely come out, like the animal I related her to, a house cat. The Suzuki Method was something that stuck with me and I just found out that one of the colleges I'm applying to actually have a class on this method which is exciting! The exercise we did to the "Massive Attack" song was crazy. It was interesting and I think I want to learn more about this method of acting so I have a better grip on what exactly Suzuki believes. Overall, I found out that I have a greater love for this really physical, character acting and that I learned a lot that can help me grow as an actor.
