 catch up..:S
Okay..so I'm definitely going to catch-up in this blog for Nov. 2nd until tonights. I think that when my dad went to the hospital I kind of got off track so here goes...

*Nov. 2nd- We went and saw "Urinetown" and I was really pleased with Otterbein's work. I thought it was much better than the performance of "Tartuffe" that we went to see last year. The goals were much stronger and there wasn't just one good actor that stuck out in my mind like Dorine did in "Tartuffe" last year. I believe that last year she was definitely the best one in the show and this year Bobby, Little Sally, and everyone else were great. It was a blast and I def. think we need to see a show after we get ours out of the way. Monologues continually crazy. Unsure and mixed feelings about I feel about the Cordelia monologue but it should be okay. I think once its def. memorized and I remember to use more movement and change tactics drasitically during lists than I should be okay. I just need to remember all the small things that make monologues oohhhhh ssoooo important!

*Nov. 18th- This week was the Community Service project week. I went to Legends Elementary and helped out in a 4th grade classroom. That was a blast! The kids were so cute and they loved having two older kids in the classroom. The only weird thing that happened to me was that one of the boys tried to give me a back massage but besides that, the kids were sweet and drew me pictures. But seriously...a 4th grader...and giving back massages!?!? A little scary. We also had an audition lesson which was wonderful and def. helpful to me. I have tons of auditions coming up so any help here and there is an answered prayer. ugh...I just hope I do okay... The only thing I'm not sure about is what I'm exactly supposed to wear to a college audition.......

*Nov. 21st- I finished the Scapin audition today even though I did it without a voice. My voice is gone from the big game on Friday. I sound like a dying bird. Oh well... I also got to watch the others audition...they did great! :) I'm so proud of all those new cute little first years... :) :) haha

*Dec. 2nd- So.. I wasn't at school all week because my dad was sick in the hospital..but I'm sure it was a great week. Sorry I couldn't be there.

*Dec. 8th- I got the part of Hyacinth!! :) :) yay! We worked on scenework and Corin and I worked on the "fake best friends" scene which is a lot of fun and realistic to life because I think we all know how most girls are...ugh. Except for Katie, Corin, and I because we are awesome! :) We saw Mason's musical and he did so good. Definitely the best one on stage of course. Good job Mason!! You've come a long way since the Heroine. ...(inside joke..he really never did Heroine) lol

*Dec. 16th- This was the really physical week where we worked on various walks for our characters and we did the animal exercise which was really interesting. It's definitely a great concept to undertake when developing a new character. They're great for getting to know your character and what they're really like, etc.

*Sooo we have now been working on minor blocking which is nice because I'm definitely ready to get the blocking over with.  I adore the set and I cannot wait until we have the set and the costumes. Yay! I'm really excited with working in a thrust style again because I wanted another year to get this style more accustomed to me before I go off to college. I love it. I think I prefer it to precenium style now. It's just ...more interesting. Ballet warmups have been great. I'm really glad we are warming up everyday and I think this is something we definitely need to continue doing because there is a world of a difference in our work. Tim...You'll get my critique tomorrow of course in class. :) See everyone tomorrow!
